Description | Fragment of a bowl with inturned rim and a long bar handle on the exterior near the rim having 2 vertical piercings. Grey ware burning brown, brown slip on the interior having lustrous burnishing. Red slip on the exterior also with lustrous burnishing in the following pattern; at the rim is a horizontal band below which is a series of triangles encircling the vessel, while under these is a second series of triangles with 2 chevrons in each of the open spaces between them. Handmade. |
