Description | Coarse buff ware; wide-mouthed jar form; flaring rim, badly nibbled edge; short and wide neck; gentle carination very low on body; flat base. Painted design: on upper globular shoulder - encircling pot are 2 horizontal / / lines with short vertical lines between them but not connecting them. Inverted triangles connecting similar dashes hang from lower band. Solid circle at apex of each triangle. (7 triangles as described above, eighth has no interior dashes but is formed by a double line with dashes in the middle of it, i.e. between the two lines forming the triangle's sides). |
