Description

Painted and gilded wooden sculpture of Vishnu and Garuda saving a lost soul (?). Garuda crouching on circular base supporting Vishnu and soul (?) on his shoulders. Three separate pieces (tail and two wings) nailed to back and sides. Two of these pieces are detached and stored separately: Garuda's tail (81-21-1B) and one wing (81-21-1C).
