Description | Carved wooden flask-like container capped with metal piece at both ends. Overall bud-like shape. Surface of the wood is intricately carved in low relief with bands of floral decoration over entire surface. Both metal caps are embossed with very similar bands of floral decoration over entire surface. One end has an extended opening at the tip and a smaller opening near the side and with two dragons on either side. Other end has no openings and simply covers wooden end. This end has also come loose and a dark brown substance is visible which may have served as a glue. |
