Description | The rim was formed by canting the upper wall inward ca. 0.02 m. below the top. Decorated in black glaze on both surfaces. On the exterior a band at the lip from which depend, set parallel at an angle, parts of three similar designs formed each by a pair of lines within which is close-set cross hatching. Inside solid tapering designs depend also from the rim, set at angle to it. Hard, reddish clay. Surfaces on both sides fired red. |
