Description | Body tapering to flattened base; neck expanding then straight with everted lip; two vertical loop handles on body. With an engraved and punctate design on neck. large Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, bulging neck, missing rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel has geometric designs in incised lines and punctate dots decorating the neck. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1560." |
