Description | Body-sherd from the neck and shoulder of a closed vessel, with a clay ridge at the juncture of the two parts; probably a jug. Fine, pink (5YR 7/4) clay with a paler surface, with decoration in brown to black paint and added white paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Interior unpainted. Foliate band (FM 64) below band. Added white: dots and thin bands on the dark band. For the motif see 566 [MS4637.30]. |
