Description | Ornamented Gourds. With burnt decoration. Used for storage of small articles; some were also used for storing oil. Geometric incised and blackened decoration. Three panels each containing a large incised X, checkered triangles above and below X; columns of vertical diamond motif found in between panels; one thick blackened ring around base, two around the rim; two brass tacks found in rim; eight pointed cut out at top. |
