Description | Base-sherd from a jug similar to 380 [MS4660]. Bibliography: Silverman 1978 a: 39, no. 85, and pl. 3a, no. 6. [3 sherds] Two joining base-sherds form a straight-sided cup; bottom of wall beveled. Fine, reddish yellow (5 YR 6-7/4-6) clay, covered with brown paint, with decoration in added white paint, overfired. Completely painted, including bottom of base. Added white: bands on body and at bottom of wall. Comments: MM III. See MS4629.3. |
