Description

Spear used only for purpose of exchange and ceremony (bride price, etc.); never used as a weapon. Cloth over about 77 cm. towards point - partly wound with strings of nassa shells and a few white feathers. Originally where cloth now is was completely wound with nassa shells. Cassowary thigh bones over point end. Hard wood shaft.
