Narrow-necked jug with a globular body, bulging neck, rounded rim, 1 strap handle extending from the neck to the body, and a rounded base. The vessel has a bird head on the neck including a beak and eyes. There is an impressed band of wavy lines ("bird" designs?) around the center of the body. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in a reducing atmosphere as the surface is black and the interior is gray in color.
