Description

Carved from one piece of wood. Three "columns", carved free, ascend from a wide base to a collar near the top. Columns and collar are carved to represent, apparently, pieces of rope. Tobacco leaf is pounded in these mortars to make snuff. See 37-22-84. Wooden. Made by woodcarver, Lehai [Mendi?], of Motshatsh.
