Description | Globular body, slightly flaring neck, one horizontal loop handle on body, small plain black jug, handle crosswise Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a globular body, cylindrical neck, rounded rim, 1 horizontal strap handle on the body, and a flat base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in a reducing atmosphere as the surface is black and the interior is gray in color. Evidence of usewear includes surface attrition on the bottom/base. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink. Traces of black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2807." |
