Description | Flat. Rectangular. Checkerwork with weft pattern of broad band followed by 2 narrows. Warps about same width as narrow wefts. Either side of bottom weft with its twined row on each side, occurred and 1 green strip (of grass?) overlaying wefts. Green strip continuing up one side over a warp. Braided rim with gap next to it with no wefts. Twined row above checkers. Piece of handle. Woven of orange, purple and yellow (grass?) in checker spiral over cedar splint. Lining bag of plain large checkerweave. Attached at bottom. |
