Description | Vermeule: Sardonyx. Cameo. (Modern gilt pin setting) Vine-wreathed bust of a Maenad facing to right. Her head thrown back in ecstasy. She wears a ram's head and hooves as part of the brooch which pins her chiton on her right shoulder. 19th century. |
