Description | The term "Pontinian" denotes a type of lithic industry found around Lombardy and the Southwest coast of Italy. The industry is characterized by the manufacture of core tols from small fluvial pebbles. Our piece is an example of such a tool. Pontinian industries are usually dated to the Upper Paleolithic. |
