| Description | Adze haft, blade missing. Stars in circles carved near head (8-pointed one side, 6-pointed the other). Below these, rows of notches (14 one side, 11 other). Bottom of handle carved with four points, beyond which a slender end piece projects: this end piece broken off. Wood, with red-brown pigment, except where blade and lashing would be. White pigment rubbed into carving. |
