Description | Whale bone. Crudely carved representing a human. No arms or legs. Basic columnar shape. Slight protrusion in front toward base (part of bone joint). Bone fissures between head and trunk. Planes of face indicated, slit for mouth, and blue bead for one eye, (other missing). "Wig" on head of short bushy gray hair. (Cap of skin with animal hair still attached. Wooly undercoat.) Slightly greasy dark area on one side of neck. |
