Description | Wooden board painted on both sides. The front has a Katsina figure painted above corn imagery. The upper end of the board is carved in the shape of the Katsina's head. The reverse is painted white with four lines in red on the back of the Katsina's head. The Katsina's shoulders are also painted on the reverse, one is yellow and the other is unpainted. The sides of the board are painted red. Each side of the board has one perforation. String is attached to the perforations and a feather is still attached to one of the strings. Handle at the bottom. |
