Description | Tomb 3A = Herscher Tomb 803A. Red polished II black-topped bowl. Complete. Hard thick dark red to orange clay with large inclusions. Thick lustrous light red slip, brown band. Round base, deep hemispherical body, slightly incurving rim; large circular lug below rim, pierced, not preserved (slip applied after break). Undecorated. |
