Description | Fragment of a bowl with inturned rim. Black ware burning brown; slip on both surfaces burning brown on the interior and red on the exterior. The exterior surface has a reserved band just below the rim which contains a burnished decoration in red slip in a chevron pattern. Both surfaces, with the exception of the reserved band, have lustrous burnishing. Handmade. |
