Description | beaded headband. Nine rows of off white glass beads worked into band of Gnetum fiber, tapered at ends. Two larger white beads in one row and one odd green bead in another. Beads possibly brought in by bird of paradise traders who worked the area around 1908-1920. Worn by men, with a bird of paradise plume clamped under it on the forehead. |
