Spherical body, flaring rim, two horizontal loop handles shoulder to rim, with serpents in relief, slightly painted in white, mouth painted in wide rays

Cooking pot (olla) with a globular body, flaring collar, rounded rim, 2 strap handles extending from the neck to the body, and a rounded base. The vessel has two raised snakes along the shoulder. The vessel has a red slip and has white painted lines around the handles, neck, and on the snakes. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior and a scraped finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Evidence of usewear includes staining. There is a resinous accretion on the exterior of the body. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2733E."
