Description | Rawhide. "Seal skin float for whale harpoon line". The skin is gathered at each end bound tightly with cord (missing at one end). The bunch of hide that projects beyond cord is pierced with a hole about 1 cm. in diameter for wooden peg. There is a split within the fold of the skin at the end of which a vent was once bound with cord. |
