Description | Various fragments of Arabic documents. Eight small pieces. No diacritical points. The pieces are too fragmentary to contain any connected text. Part of della Vida's work on Arabic papyri. A. Recto: Upper middle part of land-tax receipt. 3rd century A.H. / 9th century A.D. Verso: Fragment from acknowledgement of debt in wheat. (see No. 32 for b-d) H. Recto: Fragment of tax-receipt, 3rd century A.H./9th century A.D. Verso: Signature of witnesses. a-d. 281 A.H./March 13, 894 to March 1, 895 A.D. Eight fragments of different origin have been mounted together and numbered E 16769. Four of them belong to the same papyrus, but cannot be put together to form a continuous text.
