Description | Vermeule: Sardonyx. Cameo. (Modern Gilt Ring Setting) Radiate crowned draped bust of a man to left. The features suggest a Roman of about A.D. 300 and are perhaps copied from an early coin of Constantine the Great or one of the later Tetrachs. The cameo is work of the XVth or XVI century. |
