Description

Nicoya polychrome; very fine jaguar effigy tripod pottery vessel; olla shape with three legs; two at front modified to tubular legs; rear one pointed as tail. Arms or forelegs serving as loop handles; projecting jaguar head; painted red and black with negative effect.
